About Miss Electrolysis
My name is Uzma and I am the owner of Miss Electrolysis London. I am a Level 5 qualified electrologist specialising in permanent hair and blemish removal in Wanstead (this is the highest qualification you can achieve in the UK). I am a member of the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis (BIAE) and you can find my profile here.
My clinic is based along the lovely Wanstead High Street in East London, inside Sun Goddess Tanning & Beauty. There is plenty of free parking nearby, with Wanstead and Snaresbrook underground stations only a few minutes walk away. Forest Gate, Ilford and Stratford are also nearby and the clinic is easily reachable from the city.
Miss Electrolysis is one of the only clinics specialising in quality electrolysis hair removal in Wanstead and East London so you know you are in safe hands :)
Providing an alternative to laser hair removal in Wanstead
Laser hair removal is easily accessible in Wanstead, East London and the surrounding areas, however it's not for everybody. For certain hair types and conditions, it can actually cause more harm and make the problem worse. Electrolysis is the only NHS and FDA approved method of hair removal given permanent removal status (Laser = reduction, Electrolysis = permanent).
So if you're looking for an alternative to laser hair removal, waxing, threading etc in East London, I'd love to be a part of your journey.
My journey
I discovered the true power and effectiveness of electrolysis through my own personal experience of struggling with excess hair and PCOS. I've been there and done that, trying a bunch of different hair removal methods, devices and treatments that all promised me permanent removal, reduction or "thinning". Most methods ultimately made the hair come back thicker and faster, irritated my skin, and it eventually became a toss up between being hairy or being spotty.
A few years ago, I bought 6 sessions of full body laser. While it worked amazingly in some areas, initially I just felt it didn't work on my face and neck. After 6-ish months, I noticed that my peach fuzz was more apparent than before and I found myself reaching for my thread or tweezers multiple times a day. I soon came to learn that I was experiencing laser induced hair growth, also known as paradoxical hypertrichosis. Dealing with my unwanted hair has been awful for my self esteem and it's sad how much time I've spent thinking about it, analysing it or removing it (temporarily of course).
I remembered my sister trying electrolysis years ago and finding it super painful, but left with no other options, I finally decided to give it a go and honestly, I’ve have had such a great experience with it along with positive results that I haven't touched anything since. Between appointments, I pretty much don’t touch the hair now and it is so freeing.
Your Journey
If the above sounds all too familiar, please do get in touch with me. We can get you booked in as soon as possible for a consultation and create a treatment plan to suit you.
Electrolysis saves you time and money compared to a lifetime of alternative hair removal methods and I'd love to be a part of your journey to permanent hair removal. Technology and skill has come a LONG way over the last decade and I recommend you try atleast a short session before deciding it is not for you <3
Electrolysis is suitable for all hair types and is the best choice for hormonal hair growth and hirsutism caused by genetics, PCOS, menopause etc. So, if you've tried alternative hair removal methods such as laser or IPL etc in London and aren't satisfied, let electrolysis remove that unwanted hair permanently.
